The AN-16/o Output Module is a 1U rack-mount D/A converter for use in Pro16 Digital Snakes. It converts the uncompressed, full bandwidth 24-bit digital data transmitted via Aviom's proprietary A-Net protocol into sixteen discreet line-level analog audio channels. The line-level outputs of the AN-16/o can be for recording, broadcast, effects, or for sending audio outputs to dedicated amp and speaker systems.

The AN-16/o also works as an audio splitter. Any number of AN-16/o Output Modules can be connected to an A-Net input module to create an unlimited number of signal splits.

It has sixteen balanced audio connectors (1/4'' TRS, Euroblock versions available).

Coupled with the AN-16/i or AN-16/i-M Input Modules, the AN-16/o can be used to create a digital snake capable of transferring up to 64 channels of audio over a single Cat-5e cable. The optional AN-16SB System Bridge is used to combine four A-Net signals into a signal data stream.

The AN-16/o is compatible with the Y1 card (used with Yamaha digital mixing consoles) and the D-16c card (used with DiGiCo digital consoles).

The AN-16/o Output Module can also be integrated into existing Pro16 Monitor Mixing Systems to provide sixteen discreet line-level outputs for recording, broadcast, effects, or other mixing purposes. Any number of AN-16/o Output Modules can be connected to a monitor system as needed. Simply connect any available A-Net Out on a Personal Mixer or A-Net Distributor to the A-Net In on the AN-16/o.

On the front panel, the AN-16/o has a two-position output level switch (+4dBu and -10dBv) along with signal present and clip LEDs. The AN-16/o has sixteen balanced line-level audio outputs (1/4'' TRS jacks or Euroblocks) on its rear panel. Three digital network connectors for A-Net In, A-Net Out, and A-Net Expansion are on the rear panel.
