All Elite subwoofers are horn-loaded except for
the LS1004 which is a bass reflex design. Suitable for touring or fixed
installations, the cabinets are constructed of 3/4" Canadian plywood (15mm
11-ply Birch for LS808B) with heavy internal bracing for reduced resonance and
better durability. All enclosures are covered in a black carpet covering and
incorporate metal corner protectors, rugged curved anti-resonant metal grilles,
and 1/4" or Speakon input connectors. An optional finish of black ultrathane
paint (LS808B) is also available. Additionally, the Speakon connectors feature
a configuration switch which allows instant reversal of Speakon jack pinouts for
easy single wire hook-up using optional four wire Speakonâ„¢ cables.
LS808 Features
The LS608 and LS808 include flush, top-mounted
stand adapters so that optional speaker poles may be used to mount full range
enclosures above – avoiding the need for separate tripod stands. The LS608 and
LS808 both feature dual, side-mounted, inset carry handles making it easier for
two people to carry them. The LS908 and LS1004 have tilt-back wheels and
top/rear mounted corner handles for better maneuverability and stacking (wheels
don't fall in the handles!!).
